Savannah Canoe & Kayak Camp Trip to Ossabaw Island April 25-27

We will paddle over and base camp at the former site of the 70's Genesis Project at Middle Place. Over the coming days we will have the option to hike, paddle or ride the truck to all parts of this magnificent island.

Day Trip to Ossabaw Island, May 4, 2014

Spend a day on Ossabaw Island. Travel by pontoon boat to Ossabaw's Bradley Beach. Spend time wandering the wide, uninhabited beach. Reboard the boat and travel to the island’s North End, to enjoy an interpretive tour that includes ecology and history. Our boat captain will be Mike Neal of Bull River Cruises. You’ll have time to wander the North End on your own, before returning to the mainland.

Other: Bring your own lunch and water/beverage. Limited space. Registration online preferred.

Who should attend: All are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by supervising adult.

Fee: $55 per person for Friends of Ossabaw; $75 for general public (includes “Friends of Ossabaw” membership.) Fee includes transportation by boat to and from Ossabaw Island, plus interpretive tour of the Ossabaw Island’s beach and North End.
